Our Process

From First Contact to Finished Deck

1

Gather Information

We start by collecting details about your boat. For any standard manufactured boat model, we can pull up the specs and send you an estimate right away. Just tell us your make, model, and year — and we’ll take it from there.

2

Custom & Non-Standard Models

If we don’t have your boat model on file, no problem. We’ll ask you to send us photos and measurements of each section so we can calculate the square footage. We measure using a standard square method for each area, including the bow, to get an accurate scope of the project.

3

Estimate & Deposit

Once we have the details, we’ll send you an estimate for review. You’ll sign off on it and pay a deposit to get things moving. Keep in mind — this is a ballpark at this stage. Final measurements will be verified by our technician on-site to ensure accuracy.

3-Year Limited Warranty — Every DekWave installation is backed by our 3-year limited warranty. We stand behind our materials and craftsmanship, giving you peace of mind from day one.

Alternative: Bring Your Boat to Us

Prefer to skip the back-and-forth? You’re welcome to bring your boat directly to our shop for an in-person inspection. We’ll measure everything ourselves and provide you with an exact quote on the spot — no estimates, no surprises.

4

3D Scanning Appointment

Next, we schedule an appointment for 3D scanning. Before we begin, our technician measures the boat to certify the exact square footage of coverage. If there’s any difference from the original estimate, you’ll be notified and asked to approve the updated pricing before we proceed. If you’ve only paid the scanning or mobile fee so far, the remaining 50% scanning deposit is due before any scanning begins.

5

CAD Design

Once scanning is complete, our team gets to work on the CAD design — creating a custom decking layout tailored precisely to your boat. Every contour, every detail is accounted for to ensure a perfect fit.

6

Design Approval & Manufacturing

We’ll send you the finished design for approval. Once you give us the green light, we move into manufacturing. Your custom decking is produced to exact specifications using premium materials built to last on the water.

7

Installation

While your decking is being manufactured, we’ll schedule your installation appointment. When the product is ready, our team handles the full install — so you can get back on the water with a deck that looks and performs like new.
